North Shore Picture Diversity Photo Contest

Welcoming Community Through Your Eyes

The Picture Diversity photo contest challenged North Shore residents to photographically represent what they saw as an inclusive society. Picture Diversity is a public education project designed to engage North Shore residents in sharing and learning about inclusive communities and multiculturalism.

The project highlights the social and economic benefits created by new immigrants and cultural diversity, and builds understanding of the challenges new immigrants and refugees face as they work to connect with North Shore communities and workplaces.

This project was managed by the North Shore Multicultural Society on behalf of the North Shore Welcoming Action Committee and made possible through funding from the Government of Canada and the Province of BC.
